Repair in line with best practice and existing design has seen the roof repaired by skilled tradesmen as well as the external and internal restoration of No 3 Crane Lane presently nearing completion.
Plans are currently being finalized for the refurbishment of the interior and exterior of No 4 Parliament Street and while it is not possible to confirm actual completion dates for works or for the reopening of the premises as to a large degree this is dependent ongoing assessment restoration, we do hope to commence full refurbishment subject to planning consents before the end of the summer 2016
As our interest is in the conservation of both the overall building and the original shop, it is not proposed to ‘Develop’ or to ‘Redevelop’ 4 Parliament Street. The building and its features and fittings requires low key restoration and conservation rather than a single ‘Grand Project’ approach.
